SUSTAINABILITY/PHILANTHROPY

All one-of-a-kind, numbered pieces in the collection are hand woven and "lace-set" by Shirley herself.  All "SEFEJ Bijoux Couture" pieces are produced under strict direction and supervision by hand-weaving cooperatives run mostly by women in Europe, South America, Africa and throughout the world.
Working directly with these Artisanal local mining and lace cooperatives operated mostly by women, helps support sustainable mining and production practices affecting these women's health and environment, ultimately reducing poverty and improving their
overall livelihoods and the livelihood of their families.
Shirley Ephraim has also partnered with the Nature Conservancy to raise awareness and funds to help protect the Coral Triangle, home to more than half of the world's endangered coral species and reefs.
Select pieces from SHIRLEY EPHRAIM Fine Earth Jewelry were recently featured in CHRISTIE'S 2010, 2011, and 2012 Green Auction, A Bid To Save The Earth.  100% of proceeds benefit environmental non-profits including Oceana, Natural Defense Council, Central Park Conservancy and Conservation International.
Ephraim continues to reinvent modern luxuries and contribute to preserving cultures of the world through her craft and designs.
